Relay for Life 2026 - Annual 2026

Don't miss out on the upcoming benefit tournament supporting Relay for Life on May 2nd!

Everyone has been affected by cancer either firsthand or by watching friends/family battle through it. So let's make it colorful; wear pink for breast cancer, blue for colon cancer, etc., or just wear purple to lift up all those that have had any kind of cancer.

We are partnering with the Relay for Life team, Cancer's Mayhem, to fund research for local cancer centers and patient support. Come out for a great day of volleyball for an important cause! Proceeds will go to the foundation. Prizes will be awarded to the winners!

Participants can purchase a commemorative tournament t-shirt for $25. When you buy a shirt, you’ll have the opportunity to include the names of loved ones who have been affected by cancer—whether they are survivors or those we remember. These names will be featured on the shirts as a tribute, helping us honor their strength and keep their stories close throughout the event. To guarantee your loved ones names on the shirts, you must have ordered a shirt no later than April 10th.

Same Gender - April 15th

All teams will play pool play, playoffs will be determined by record. top 2 teams go to Money bracket, 3rd place team in pool goes to fun bracket. Last place team is dropped.

Pool Play -

One game to 21 points, win by 2, cap at 23.

Playoff round format TBD depending on time.

$30 per team LATE REGISTRATION IS $50

Cash payout for the winners of the money bracket.

Check in is at 6:30. Don't be late. the schedule will be posted and followed.

If you are late - after five minutes, your team will be penalized one point per minute up to 10 minutes. After 10 minutes late, you will forfeit the game. All records go toward standings. There are no subs for the tournament.

Tuesdays at The Strand - Open Gender 4x4 - Spring II 2026

6 WEEKS LONG! 5 weeks plus playoffs.

Tuesday volleyball at The Strand includes - Open Gender 4x4 BB and B levels (all guys, all girls, or a mix). All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over the net).

The first day of the Spring II session is April 28th.

Playoffs will be June 2nd.

• Two matches per week
• Matches will be best of 3. First 2 sets to 21, third set to 15 if necessary.
• The time slots are 6:30, 7:20, 8:10, 9:00, and 9:50.
• MATCHES WILL START AND END ON TIME.

Here are the skill descriptions.

BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good rallies and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

B - Recreational division. These teams understand that there are 3 hits to get the ball over the net but might not use all 3 every time. Teams in this division are usually out for a fun night with friends or coworkers. We will have a referee on site to explain rules and help the teams along if any questions arise.

School Fundraising League - Spring II 2026

Black Rabbit Volleyball presents the School Fundraising League

Here is how it works.

• COED 4x4 league - 4 player minimum, 6 player maximum on a team. 4 players on the court at one time per team. Open to anyone wanting to support a school - friends, parents, teachers, and administrators. DOES NOT NEED TO HAVE A CHILD IN A SCHOOL SYSTEM TO PLAY, JUST PICK A SCHOOL TO PLAY FOR -ANY SCHOOL, ANY DISTRICT.
• This league will be five weeks of double headers, then playoffs. All teams make the playoffs.
• 16 teams max - Playoffs will be one bracket and will be playing for a cash prize for their school.
• $120 per team, no matter how many players are on the roster.
• Prize money will go to the school that the winning teams are representing. Cash prizes will be determined by the number of teams entered.
• 100% of entry fees will be paid out.
• Wednesday nights - time slots are 6:30, 7:20, 8:10, 9:00, and 9:50. You will get 2 matches each week within those time slots. I will do my best to make the matches as early as possible.

Thursdays at The Strand - Coed 4x4 - Spring II 2026

6 WEEKS LONG!

Thursday volleyball at The Strand includes - Coed 4x4 A, BB, and B levels (at least one girl on the court). All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over the net).

A - Consists of teams with a solid knowledge of the game and rules. The skill level is high and very consistent. All players understand offensive and defensive concepts. Expect longer rallies and competitive matches. This is the highest level offered for Black Rabbit Volleyball league play.

BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good rallies and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

B - Recreational division. These teams understand that there are 3 hits to get the ball over the net but might not use all 3 every time. Teams in this division are usually out for a fun night with friends or coworkers. We will have a referee on site to explain rules and help the teams along if any questions arise.

Sunday Doubles at The Strand - Spring I 2026

6 WEEKS LONG!

The first day of the SPRING I session is MARCH 15th. - Playoffs will be APRIL 19th.

Details:

• Format: Open Gender 2x2 teams (all male, all female, or mixed).
• Duration: 6 weeks total (5 weeks of regular season, 1 week of playoffs)
• Game Rules: Matches consist of 2 games to 21 points, with a 3rd game to 15 if necessary.
• Time Slots: Matches last one hour and are scheduled at,4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 PM. Matches will start on time -- DON'T BE LATE!
• Judgment Calls: Each level will use judgment to enforce ball-handling rules appropriate to their skill level.

Skill Levels:

• BB (Skilled): Teams at this level demonstrate strong ball-handling skills and enjoy competitive rallies and high-scoring games. While less consistent than "A" level players, BB players are skilled and often move up with exceptional performance.
• B (Recreational): This division is for players who understand the basics of volleyball (e.g., three hits per side) but may not always use them. Perfect for a fun night out with friends or coworkers! A referee will be on-site to explain rules and assist teams with any questions

LONGER SESSION, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN SUBS! IF YOU MISS, FIND SUBS FOR YOUR TEAM. NO BYES WILL BE GIVEN. 

This session lasts 7 weeks total.  FIVE weeks of regular season, PLUS one week of same gender playoffs AND one week of coed playoffs.

 Here are the details.

• 7 weeks long
• 5 weeks plus playoffs one week for same gender and one for coed.
• coed/revco will have only coed playoffs, ALL RESULTS COUNT TOWARDS SEEDING.
• same gender and coed/revco play at different times so you can play both leagues.
• Limited spots available.

Wednesday volleyball at The Strand includes Coed 4x4 (one girl minimum) BB & B. All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over), and all games will be match play with 2 games to 21 points, 3rd game to 15 if necessary. There will be 2 divisions, BB and B.

The first day of the Fall I session is August 27th.

Playoffs will be October 1st

• Two matches per week Matches will be best of 3. First 2 sets to 21, third set to 15 if necessary.
• The time slots are 6:30, 7:20, 8:10, 9:00, and 9:50.
• MATCHES WILL START AND END ON TIME.

BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good ralleys and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.
