Thursdays at The Strand-Fall I - Fall I 2024

Coed 4x4 - A, BB and B levels - 8 weeks long!

Thursday volleyball at The Strand includes Coed 4x4 (one girl minimum) A, BB & B.  All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over), and all games will be match play with 2 games to 21 points, 3rd game to 15 if necessary.

A - Consistent. Consists of teams with a solid knowledge of the game and rules. Skill levels range from Advanced Intermediate to Experienced. All players understand rotational sequence, offensive concepts (i.e., 5-1, 6-2, etc.) and defensive positions and can apply them in competition.

BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good ralleys and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

B - Recreational division. These teams understand that there are 3 hits to get the ball over the net but might not use all 3 every time. Teams in this division are usually out for a fun night with friends or coworkers. We will have a referee on site to explain rules and help the teams along if any questions arise.

Be ready for a no hands calls tournament. Want to practice hand setting but are too scared to try in a real game, THIS IS THE TOURNAMENT FOR YOU!

Want to learn some new hand setting skills, but are afraid of losing points, THIS IS THE TOURNAMENT FOR YOU!

We will play pool play then bracket play. All teams will make the playoffs.

Shorty tournament - Same Gender - Annual 2024

OUR FIRST SHORTY OF 2024!

The "Shorty" tournament is back! And yes, we do measure. Players must be 6 feet and under for men and 5'7" and under for women.

• SAME GENDER - bring your own partner doubles event.
• 630 PM CHECK IN LIMITED spots available.
• We will separate into divisions after pool play.
• Winners get cash.

This is THE SAME GENDER Friday Night Blind Draw

SAME GENDER doubles tournament.

Check in at 6:15, draw for partners at 6:30, first serve at 6:45.

Tuesdays at The Strand - Fall I - Fall I 2024

Open Gender 4x4 - BB and B levels

6 WEEKS LONG! 5 weeks plus playoffs.

Tuesday volleyball at The Strand includes - Open Gender 4x4 (all guys, all girls, or a mix). All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over), and all games will be match play with 2 games to 21 points, 3rd game to 15 if necessary. The time slots will be 50 minutes long, and be at 7:20, 8:10, 9:00, and 9:50. MATCHES WILL START ON TIME.

The first day of the Fall I session is September 3rd.

Playoffs will be October 8th.

Here are the skill descriptions.

BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good rallies and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

B - Recreational division. These teams understand that there are 3 hits to get the ball over the net but might not use all 3 every time. Teams in this division are usually out for a fun night with friends or coworkers. We will have a referee on site to explain rules and help the teams along if any questions arise.

DRAFT LEAGUE Aug 27th-Sept 17th - Fall I 2024

Want to see if you are the best player or manager? Join us for our Draft League. Winning team gets a cash prize at the end of the session! Here are the details.

$25 per player - WINNERS WIN $100 EACH - 4x4 draft

WE WILL BE ASSIGNING CAPTAINS FOR THIS LEAGUE

4 Weeks long, 3 weeks of double headers plus one week of playoffs.

BB level and higher please.

There will be 2 divisions, A and BB/B. 

 BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good ralleys and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

B - Recreational division. These teams understand that there are 3 hits to get the ball over the net but might not use all 3 every time. Teams in this division are usually out for a fun night with friends or coworkers. We will have a referee on site to explain rules and help the teams along if any questions arise.

Open Gender Doubles - BB and B levels

6 WEEKS LONG! 5 weeks plus playoffs.

Sunday volleyball at The Strand includes - Open Gender 2x2 (all guys, all girls, or a mix). All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. All games will be match play with 2 games to 21 points, 3rd game to 15 if necessary. The time slots will be one hour long, and be at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30. MATCHES WILL START ON TIME.

The first day of Spring I will be August 11th.

Off on Labor Day Weekend!

Monday Doubles at The Strand - Summer II - Summer II 2024

Welcome to Summer I at The Strand!

This session lasts 6 weeks total.  Playoffs will be on August 5th for Same Gender and August 12th for Coed.

 Here are the details.

• 6 weeks long
• 4 weeks plus playoffs one week for same gender and one for coed.
• coed/revco will have only coed playoffs, ALL RESULTS COUNT TOWARDS SEEDING.
• same gender and coed/revco play at different times so you can play both leagues.
• Limited spots available.

League starts July 8th.
